Welcome to the HealthWiz API, we're excited to have you here!
We built HealthWiz to simplify healthcare decisions. HealthWiz is a predictive analytics and data platform for the healthcare industry, providing the most accurate and comprehensive data on doctors, plans, and costs.
Our goal is to provide you with an API that makes it easy and simple to build healthcare navigation features or an entire solution for your users.

HealthWiz supports many use-cases for developing healthcare solutions. Our existing customers & users leverage our API in a variety of ways, including:
• Searching for a doctor: Powering a comprehensive doctor search for a specialized digital health solution that allows users to find all specific specialists in their neighborhood who accept their insurance and have high patient satisfaction rankings
• Shopping for care: Estimating personalized out-of-pocket costs of care for users looking to use their Health Savings Account dollars and price-shop across different treatment options for an existing condition
• Buying insurance: Allowing users to search for insurances during open enrollment to limit to plans who accept the user's existing doctor and provide the lowest cost inclusive of all annual medical care and insurance costs
Our documentation is structured to support the solutions we offer. We've created six sections with specific use-cases listed underneath each one. The sections are:
These endpoints allow you to build new applications leveraging HealthWiz doctor information to find doctors, to learn more about a specific doctor, and even to book online appointments.
Here you can compare treatments and prices across points of care and help your users find specific locations to get care, including a doctor's office, urgent care, or emergency care settings.
These features were designed to allow you to compare and recommend plans as well as to evaluate plans based on the expected cost of care and the doctors in the insurance networks.
4) Conditions & symptoms
Our goal here is to enable tools to provide information on conditions, symptoms, treatment options, and other key details your users need when researching not feeling well.
5) Cost estimates
These endpoints were built to estimate costs and compare medical options based on their expected out-of-pocket cost estimates.
6) Indexes & dictionaries
You'll notice our API gives you the option of including many different parameters that may use a standard identifier for ease of consistency (e.g., insurance plan). Here we provide the mappings of these parameters to standard identifiers.
Within each section, we've included individual documentation pages to support each solution. Every documentation page, where applicable, includes:
1) Endpoint overview
2) Diving In
3) Example Request
4) Example JSON Output
